Fall has arrived! Also known as...
It's the time of year we get to pull all those cozy sweaters out of storage and start snuggling up in them again.
One cool, crisp morning as I was rushing to get out of the house, I stopped to take one last glance in the mirror at my outfit. Lo and behold, there they were — sweater bumps poking out as if I had Lady Gaga shoulders!

I just couldn’t bear to leave the house with those large, unsightly lumps. I went back into the house to change, but my stress skyrocketed when I realized how late I was going to be. Needless to say, it wasn’t a very smooth and successful start to my morning.
There’s nothing cozier than a soft, voluminous sweater, but the weight of them can stress the material as it hangs, warping its overall shape and stretching it at the shoulders. Sweater bumps are unsightly — not to mention, a total pain in the rear to get out — but I’m happy to say they are a thing of the past in my house. Here’s why: There are multiple ways to store (and hang) those beautiful sweaters so they look their best every time you wear them!
Method 1 | Folded on a Shelf
Method 2 | Folded in a Drawer or Box
Method 3 | Hung in a Closet
(Alternative Clothes Hanger Hanging Method)
Method 4 | Stored Under a Bed
Stay tuned for my next two blogs. I'll be sharing my favorite folding and hanging methods (with video tutorials) for maximizing your closet and dresser space.
